About the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Charity, Inc.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Charity, Inc. (formerly the Brevard County Public Safety Charity) is a non-profit organization registered in the State of Florida. Our organization works with businesses, community leaders, and citizens to raise funds to assist our law enforcement officers and firefighters in their time of need. These funds help our public safety members when they face critical challenges such as medical emergencies, long-term illness, and even the tragedy of a line of duty death. This charity organization is designed to help support those that protect us and is facilitated solely through volunteers and donations.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Charity Board is currently comprised of members from the following local agencies.
- Brevard County Sheriff’s Office
- Rockledge Police Department
- West Melbourne Police Department
- Cocoa Beach Police Department
- Retired Law Enforcement Officers
- Palm Bay Police Department
- Police Benevolent Association (PBA)
The Sheriff’s Pet Posse Charity will provide support to the South Animal Care Center operated by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office. Support provided is for care and medical treatment of animals including food, spay/neuter, medications, wellness, vaccinations and facility improvements. The Pet Posse supports enrichment programs for both the animals, staff, volunteers and the public. The enrichment programs will be focused on behavior, stress management, and obedience training for the animals. Pet Posse will support educating the public on the importance of vaccinations and spay/neutering their pets.
